Bio
I received my BFA at MICA in Baltimore and my MFA in ceramics at The Ohio State University. I worked as a graphic designer for many years before returning to the ceramic studio.
From the day I first walked into the ceramic studio as an undergraduate student clay has captivated me with the possibilities of combining the 3-D form with 2-D imagery. The imagery in my work is influenced by life in and around the Chesapeake Bay where I grew up. The pieces are narratives of imagined gatherings of the sealife found in the bay and act as vehicles for telling stories of life on the bay.
